Darjeeling is a very popular hill station in West Bengal. A few kilometres away, there is a place called Kurseong, where lies Dow Hill forest.

Natural Beauty of Dow Hills

Daw Hills has white Orchids and rolling hill slopes, covered with tea plantations. This green hill area is fully adorned by thick conifer forests as well.

 

The forest is full of scenic views, mountains and orchids landscape. In spite of that locals usually avoid going around due to paranormal activities.

You Are Being Watched

According to locals and tourists who have encountered some unusual events have mentioned that they felt like they were being watched and followed by someone in the middle of the forest even when they were alone. They also had some kind of Alien encounter and caught red eyes staring at them from the dark areas.

Some says they saw a young woman with grey clothes wandering around in the dense forest if you try to catch or follow her you might get lost in the woods and will never come back.

Also, a road named ‘death road,’ which lies between Dow Hill Road and the Forest office is something you should certainly avoid during your visit. According to local tales, some people have had a harrowing time seeing a headless body of a boy walking in silence and disappearing in seconds. Perhaps, it can be fiction or reality but these kinds of stories definitely make you lose your mental balance.

Victoria Boys High School

The colonial period’s Victoria Boys High School has also become a part of these horror tales in Daw Hill. The school is said to be haunted and remains closed in the months of December to March. According to people during this period of time, the atmosphere of school gets eerie because of dark powers. Sometimes guards heard whispers and footsteps. But there is no evidence of such incidents, and the school had never reported any kind of misshaping happened.
